Black-headed Munia
Taken on a trip to Borneo, a nice bird on an attractive perch and the composition worked well for me, it doesn't come together that easily all the time.
-
Mandarin
Taken in the Forest of Dean, with Autumn colours reflected in the water, great when a plan comes together!
-
Greenfinch's
Taken in Bulgaria, one for the romantics this, male and female appear to be kissing, probably passing food to strengthen the bond between the pair.
-
Red-throated Bee-eater
This shot took some patience! Taken on one of my photographic tours to The Gambia, I succeeded in catching this bird as it dipped it's belly feathers in the pool. They use the water to cool the young or eggs in the near by nest burrow.

Black Guilimot
Taken in Scotland near Glen Coe, the image is almost naturally Black and White. The white patch on the birds wing, echoed in the shapes in the water.
-
Barn Swallow
While driving in France I notice a group of Swallows feeding low over a field, I quickly set up and tried the impossible.......500 shots later I had a couple I was happy with.

Wood Warbler
One of my early images and still a favourite. A tricky species to get a clear shot of, I managed to capture this shot showing the bird in it's habitat to a tee.
